We currently offer TWO types of Parent Child Classes:
Introductory Parent Child Class:
- Children 6 months to 2 years with a parent who are NEW to swimming and getting comfortable in the water.
- Skills to be focused on: water comfort, basic holds, introduction to blowing bubbles, getting face wet, kicking, floating, and basic movement in the water; and basic safety skills.
- Fee: $59.50 per student and parent per month*. All taxes included
- Up to 6 students in a class
Transitional Parent Child Class:
- Children 2-3.5 years of age with a parent who are getting ready to transition to lessons WITHOUT the parent in the water.
- The first 15 minutes of the class will be WITH the parent in the water, and the second 15 minutes of the class, the parent will be asked to leave the water to help transition the students into lessons without a parent. If the class advances well, the parents may be asked to not get in the water at all.
- Skills to be focused on: water safety, basic swimming skills: kicking, floating, and basic movement in the water with and without the parent holding the student; learning to be submerged in water.
- Fee: $59.50 per student and parent per month*. All taxes included
- Up to 3 students in a class
Some parent child classes may still have availability in the session, and you will find those classes listed below.
PLEASE NOTE – to request a NEW parent child class, you must be enrolling 2-3 students (friends, siblings, cousins, etc.). Starfish Aquatic Club does not match students. To request a NEW parent child class to be created, please click here
