Starfish Aquatic Club is looking for an Aquatic Supervisor/Assistant Director for a swim school operating out of LA Fitness (Esporta Fitness) in Randolph, NJ and LA Fitness in West Orange, NJ.
The candidate MUST have experience with swim lesson instruction and/or lifeguarding/WSI certification.
Ideal candidate:
- Has 1-3 years of experience with teaching swim lessons or coaching
- Has 1-3 years of experience with managing a pool
- CPO experience a plus
- Ability to commit to a position for 1 year
- Ability to supervise others in a professional way
- Train others effectively
- Build rapport with families and staff
- Quick thinking in a fast pace environment
- Can work with children, and parents
Candidate will be expected to manage the swim lesson program in addition to teaching a set number of hours.
Candidate must have:
- Good computer skills
- Stong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage others
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work evenings and one weekend day
